Stage 10From King's Stanley the trail passes Middleyard and climbs into Pen Wood, where route variants rejoin along the escarpment edge. The path continues to Coaley Peak, with views west across the Severn Vale, then passes a disused quarry where exposed rock illustrates the underlying Cotswold geology.
The route climbs Cam Long Down before descending through Farfield and farmland into Dursley, a market town with historical links to the Cotswolds wool and cloth industries. Cam Peak, a short optional detour from the main line, is recommended in National Trail literature as a viewpoint over the surrounding countryside. The climbs on this stage, particularly around Cam Long Down, add to the effort required despite a moderate overall distance.
