The Roman Baths at Bath are among the finest surviving Roman spa complexes in northern Europe, built around natural hot springs that still flow today. Walkways and interpretation lead you past the Great Bath, temple precinct, and museum collections that explain how Aquae Sulis grew into a major Roman town.
For many walkers the baths are the natural reward at the southern end of the Cotswold Way: the trail finishes in the city centre, a short walk from the site.
