This issue celebrates the 40th birthday of the Cotswold Way, which was officially designated in May 1970. Hikers are encouraged to visit the memorial to Cyril Trenfield, a key advocate for the trail's creation, located near Dyrham Park. The "Cotswold Way Discovery" project is introduced, turning the trail into a "living classroom" with resources to help walkers of all ages identify the unique flora and fauna found along the limestone scarp.
