Several Cotswold Way fingerposts and carved waymarker posts have been stolen from the trail. Missing signs are inconvenient for walkers and costly to replace, and they leave gaps in what is normally a well-marked National Trail.
If you see anyone damaging or removing posts, contact the police on 101 and note the location as clearly as you can. Do not confront people yourself.
Until replacements are in place, treat junctions with extra care and carry a paper map or offline route on your phone - see our Maps page. Replacement waymarkers for personal use are sometimes available through Cotswold Way Association fundraising sales.
